CBS 7 Midland/Odessa- Jewish Group Donates $15,000 to WTFB November 22, 2011
They've been serving the Permian Basin for more than 30 years and now a jewish philanthropic group is continuing that tradition.
The permian basin lodge of B'nai B'rith is giving $15,000 to the West Texas Food Bank and $10,000 dollars to the Fireman's Fund of the Permian Basin.
This money is going to assist volunteer firefighters that have been fighting wildfires all year with less funding than before. The lodge is also donating to p-dap .. Meals on Wheels and other agencies.
in all over $270,000 is being donated during this giving period.
The lodge gets its financial support by the operation of daytime bingo in midland.
