Sesame Street is unveiling a new Muppet, who is dealing with a real life hardship.
The new character, Lily, is an impoverished Muppet.
Her family faces the ongoing struggle of living in poverty and dealing with hunger.
The Muppet will be revealed in a one-hour Sesame Street special featuring country singer Brad Paisley and his wife.
The West Texas Food Bank says hopefully the issue will open people's eyes to the seriousness of the issue and give families an opportunity to talk about poverty issues in our country.
Lily will be revealed at 6 o’clock on Sunday, October 10 on Basin PBS, the special will be Thursday, October 13 at 7:00 and 8:00 pm.
