News West 9 Midland/Odessa- Midland VFW Accepting Much-Needed Donations for WTFB September 19, 2011

MIDLAND - When most of us get hungry, we go to the drive-thru or run into the supermarket without giving it too much thought.
But for some locals, it's simply not that easy which is why the Veterans of Foreign Wars is stepping up this month to help fight hunger.
"I have 4 children and I know what it's like to need and the reason why I'm a member of this auxiliary is because they have helped so much and continue to help, not just locally," Ladies Auxiliary President, Sabrina Debaun, said.
Sabrina and other members of the VFW heard the West Texas Food Bank simply cannot keep up with its demand for food so they're dedicating the month of September to helping it get back on track.
The Midland post is accepting canned food and dry good donations throughout the month.
On Sunday's, they're saying thanks by offering $2 beers in exchange for each food item donated and they'll even give you free hot dogs and chips.
