West Texas Food Bank is a nonprofit 501( c )3 hunger relief organization. The Food Bank serves as a clearinghouse that secures donations of surplus, but wholesome, food and grocery products for distribution through a network of over 170 charitable organizations. The service area covers more than 45,000 square miles in the 22 counties of far West Texas.
West Texas Food Bank is a member of Feeding America– The Nation’s Food Bank Network. Membership includes access to national food distribution programs, training, support, inspection and accountability for operations standards. We are also a member of the Texas Food Bank Network.
Administrative offices and the central receiving warehouse are based in Odessa. Additional warehouse operations are in El Paso and Alpine. The Food Bank currently has 25-30 employees and offers benefits including health insurance, paid vacation, and a voluntary retirement plan.
