Annual Postal Carriers Food Drive May 10, 2008
The annual Postal Can Food Drive is May 10. The drive will start at 12:00. Volunteers are needed as this is a big event for the West Texas Food Bank. The letter carriers have collected in the last two yrs. more than 44,683 lbs of food for the Food Bank. This is a great way to get involved in the community. Volunteers are greatly needed on this day at the West Texas Food Bank. For more information how you can help please contact Jennifer or Carla (432) 580-6333. It will be a fun and rewarding time.
Please come join us! The food is to be placed outside the door of homes on May 10,2008 and the postal carriers will pick it up.

WTFB MEMBER AGENCIES ONLY: Pick and Pack Day - El Paso June 22, 2008
WTFB MEMBER AGENCIES ONLY!!!
Pick and Pack Day is a first time ever event for El Paso member agencies! The first Pick and Pack Event - as an experiment - was held for Odessa Agencies last fall, and was a tremendous success! The recurring comment was "This is great!! When will you do this again?"
Pick and Pack is for NON-food product only, and allows agencies to pick and choose from excess salvage that is "semi-sorted" and placed in categories such as household, personal care, furniture, clothing, seasonal, etc. Semi-sorted means that it is good, but hasn't been pre-packaged as warehouse salvage has that is on the menu. Product is available in any quantity that you wish - from box to pallet. Agencies will be invoiced at 10 cents per pound for shared maintenance fees. INVITATIONS ARE REQUIRED TO ENTER WAREHOUSE, and agencies will be responsible for their own deliveries. All product purchased must be removed by the agency from the premises by 2:00 pm, or it will be returned to inventory, and the agency will be billed.
